Overview

The Yard Jockey supports the movement of trailers to support the needs of the warehouse in sorting and processing material for shipment or storage. Yard Jockey is responsible for timely movements and thorough knowledge of on-hand inventory and positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Always follow Triple-S safe methods of work and immediately advise the supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain an organized, clean yard to support efficient operations.
  • Safely operate a yard truck within site speed limits.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance.
  • Assist with refueling, minor repairs, and equipment upkeep.
  • Maintain trip master units.
  • Support operations and serve as a backup when needed to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in trailer spotting and relocation using a yard truck (Required)
