Overview

The Quality Coordinator Intern will work closely with our team to ensure Triple-S upholds quality standards. This opportunity offers the intern hands-on experience working directly with our Quality Control Analyst to focus learning about and implementing Quality Standards. They will gain experience in process improvement, inventory audits, and problem solving and overall contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations department.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring manufacturing and production processes to ensure products meet requirements and specifications.
  • Understand quality standards within the warehouse setting.
  • Inspecting product samples, parts, materials, and production processes.
  • Reviewing products based on blueprints and specifications.
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems.
  • Documenting and reporting any discrepancies in stock quantities and inventory records.
  • Conducting physical inventory audits in accordance with Inventory manager.
  • Reconciling inventory counts 
  • Investigating causes of inventory discrepancies and recommending solutions.
  • Preparing audit reports detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and monthly safety meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent, but not necessary
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship OR successful completion of an in-company, training program required. 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to correctly read and understand work orders and/or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Ability to effectively use basic computer applications.
  • Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Develop a good working knowledge of material and inventory control techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.

  • Travel: This position may involve travel to other branches to check progress and document ongoing projects.
