Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Tasks include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, and documenting work. Must follow safety protocols, read technical documents, and communicate effectively with supervisors.

 

Schedule: Monday through Thursay, 6:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, rules, and safety regulations while performing duties in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of safety standards, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform all assigned tasks as specified in the “Work Instructions” under the Company’s Quality Management System.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of equipment, including Tube Mills, finishing equipment, overhead cranes, pumps, motors, gearboxes, electrical panels, and facility systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Inspect repair work to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion.
  • Document work performed using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Promptly report any issues requiring corrective or preventive actions to supervisors or management.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of commonly used replacement parts and supplies.
  • Clean up spills promptly and ensure proper waste disposal in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Notify supervisors promptly and clearly upon completion of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Must be able to support Statesville and Troutman locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of previous knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance (Required) 
  • Strong electrical skills (Highly Preferred)
  • Machining, mechanical, and fabrication skills (Preferred)
  • Computer Literacy (Required)
  • Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.
