Overview

We are looking for a Draw Bench Operator with hands-on experience in tube mill production. Responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of draw bench machinery to produce metal tubing to precise specifications. Proficient in performing changeovers, adjusting tooling, and using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure product quality. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate the Drawbench to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, production targets, and scrap reduction initiatives; perform basic equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Adjust basic tooling and holding fixtures to maintain proper machine function and part accuracy.
  •  Conduct visual inspections of parts to detect defects, damage, or inconsistencies.
  • Load and unload materials and finished parts from assigned machinery.
  • Prepare raw materials for processing according to production specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify part defects or equipment malfunctions, reporting any issues promptly to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment with good mechanical aptitude (Preferred).
  • Skilled in machine changeovers, including tool use, saw blade changes, and cut length adjustments.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers).
  • Basic math, computer, and data entry skills; able to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail for part inspection.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
