ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated material handler to join our company. This position is responsible for execution of safety standards, achieving daily productivity goals while meeting quality requirements, performing routine maintenance and assisting with maintenance with non-routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Always follow Triple-S safe methods of work and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Ensuring the CNC machine is set up correctly for the specific job or task, including loading the necessary tools and materials.
  • Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment as assigned, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, shear, CNC burning table, band saw, iron worker, track burner, haven tube cutter, forklift, overhead crane and personal protective equipment.
  •  Loading and running pre-written programs or writing new programs for the CNC machine to perform various machining operations such as drilling, milling, cutting, and shaping.
  • Operating the CNC machine during the manufacturing process, monitoring the machining operations, and adjusting as needed to ensure the quality and accuracy of the finished parts.
  •  Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards, adjusting the machine settings as necessary to correct any deviations.
  •  Performing routine maintenance tasks on the CNC machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  •  Identifying and troubleshooting any issues or problems with the CNC machine, such as tool wear, programming errors, or mechanical malfunctions, and taking corrective action to resolve them.
  •  Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures when operating the machine.

Qualifications

    • Ability to correctly read and understand work orders and/or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
    • Ability to effectively use basic computer applications.
    • Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
    • Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
    • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
    • Develop a good working knowledge of material and inventory control techniques and procedures.
    • Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations. 

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Use hands/fingers to handle, or feel and talk or hear
    • Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
    • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
