Overview

This role is responsible for all aspects of the finishing operation, including safety, quality, production, and basic maintenance. Operates polishing, buffing, and deburring equipment, performs visual inspections, prepares materials, and ensures a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate polishing, buffing, deburring equipment, or saws according to production specifications.
  • Ensure product quality and meet production goals while minimizing scrap and downtime.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks and adjustments to tooling and holding fixtures as needed.
  • Conduct visual inspections to detect defects, burrs, or damage on finished parts.
  • Load and unload parts from assigned machines efficiently and safely.
  • Prepare raw materials for production processes.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify part defects or equipment malfunctions; promptly report issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).
  • Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.
