ABOUT THE POSITION:

The role of Senior Tax Accountant is to ensure compliance with its various tax obligations and to assist in developing a comprehensive tax strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Yearly, Quarterly, and monthly filings for Sales and Use tax returns.
  • Prepare the Yearly, Quarterly and Monthly filings of tangible and intangible property return.
  • Assist implementation of Sales Tax Reporting software in new ERP
  • Work with outsource tax partner ensure all deadlines including annual reporting are met.
  • Coordinate Tax Audits directly with Tax Authorities with or without external support (preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.).
  • Reconciling income tax accounts and ensure the correct booking of tax payments, provisions, credits, etc. on the balance sheet and P&L
  • Prepared and filed various annual business registrations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of US federal, state and local reporting and tax requirements in a holding company environment.
  • Excellent tax accounting and analytical skills.
  • Highly Functional in Office (Advanced Excel Skills a must).
  • Proficiency in tax software, including Avalara sales tax software.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
