Overview

 

The Production Coordinator oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of materials, product, and services to the Triple-S Steel customers in their territory. This role ensures Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and maintained according to Federal, State and Local laws, along with all company issued training.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Production Supervisor ensuring warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas throughout the working day to meet deadlines for all processes.
  • Reviews schedules, determining work force requirements, and monitoring productivity to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Reports any stock issues to appropriate personnel to get inventory corrected / weekly summary of stock plates of all grades.
  • Assists in retrieving material from other locations, such as outside yard, if no one else if available.
  • Communicates with management any issues within the warehouse.
  • Ensures Housekeeping: General clean-up of warehouse and work area.
  • Assists with safety duties.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and monthly safety meetings.
  • Back up warehouse Supervisors, Production and Admin departments.
  • Ensures all established Triple-S Steel polices are enforced and followed by all employees. Such as, but not limited to, Quality Policy, Security, Safety, Health, Environmental, Attendance and all other policies.
  • Responsible for AutoCAD drawing in conjunction Pronest proficiency.
  • Coordinates material usage.
  • Ensures product and parts inspection.
  • Responsible for production scheduling for plate shop.
  • Responsible for maintenance scheduling of equipment / costing reports for parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Blueprint reading, basic math, and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge or exposure to AutoCADAttention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and anticipate potential problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external customers.
