ABOUT THE POSTION:

We are seeking a motivated Leadman responsible for supervising and maintain order in the our roofing department.  This position typically reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager. The position requires working in accordance with Triple-S Steel job requirements and Safe Methods of Work. Overtime hours may be required to meet our customers’ needs.

• Always adhere to Triple-S safety protocols, and promptly report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Move steel safely and correctly between storage or production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles, using your hands, forklifts, overhead cranes, or other equipment.
• Instruct new team members on handling will calls, delivering orders, checking stock, and using computers, among other tasks.
• Conduct morning inspections in the warehouse to ensure materials are securely stored on racks and that exit doors are unobstructed.
• Assist with verifying and fulfilling will calls and delivering orders.
  
• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.
• Securely attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and guide loads, and climb onto vehicles to secure and release the material being loaded. This is a regular daily task.

• Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
• Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills
• Previous Roofing experience is a plus.
