Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead our sales team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the assigned market. This role requires strategic planning, effective team management, and collaboration with other departments to achieve company sales goals and maximize market share.

Compensation Range: $75,000 to $100,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy to meet company sales goals and profitability targets.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to support sales initiatives.

 

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Prepare and manage action plans for individual sales team members and the overall team to effectively search for sales leads and prospects.
  • Sit on the leadership team for the Denver branch to create strategic long-term direction,

 

Sales Operations and Customer Management:

  • Provide accurate and competitive pricing on all products through formalized pricing policies, considering factors such as order size, freight costs, processing, and customer potential.
  • Develop action plans for idle/inactive inventory through special incentives and customer promotions.
  • Personally manage and visit key accounts.

 

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Communicate and collaborate with counterparts at other Triple-S Steel facilities to ensure consistent pricing and customer experience where customer bases overlap.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and services.

 

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience within the steel industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing successful sales teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and other sales management software.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to visit key accounts and attend industry events.
