ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated Burn Table operator. The operator will be responsible for setting up and operating overhead cranes to load/unload steel. They will verify that the finished product meets specifications while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Responsibilities

  • Always follow Triple-S safe methods of work, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Set up and operate Burn Table machine.
  • Select correct machine settings for optimal cutting operations.
  • Measure materials to assure conformance with design specifications.
  • Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions.
  • Transfer appropriate data onto materials.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and stage work area.
  • Keep an accurate record of daily operations and material usage.
  • Interpret CAD drawings, symbols, and notes.
  • Other duties assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Technical training or certification in Machine Operation or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience interpreting CAD drawings preferred.
  • Experienced operating CNC plasma and oxy machines
  • Familrity with measuring tools and techniques.
  • Experienced with overhead cranes.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for a prolonged period.
