  • Overview

    Responsible for the profit and loss of a portfolio of products for the DEN branch. Establishes specific plans and strategies to maximize the company’s market share at its existing customer base and expand the customer base in the general marketing area of DEN. 



    • Purchasing products in the appropriate mix and price that ensures the best return and market penetration.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors
    • Does not commit the company to supply agreements that violate company policies. Initially runs all purchases through the division manager.
    • Responsible for maintaining the replacement price schedule and price book in eStelplan.
    • Responsible for assisting account executives with marketing/selling of products under management.
    • Regularly seeks deals on prime/secondary opportunities.
    • Manages some customers directly
    • Provides technical expertise to sales department
    • Regularly reviews inventory for “stock outs” and replaces promptly
    • Regularly reviews inventory for slow moving items and develops strategies to sell
    • Finalizes any claims arising from the purchase of material
    • Presents plans to management on expanding products, processes and territory
    • Regularly achieves 10-20% CAGR each year.
    • Coordinates with the Sales Manager on pricing/marketing strategies.
    • Regularly exchanges market information with other manager.
    • Sets examples for other employees in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
    • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Account Executives to build motivation and product knowledge.
    • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.



    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in product management and customer relationship management.

     Knowledge & Skills:

    • Knowledge and understanding of distribution processes 
    • Strong understanding of customer and product dynamics and requirements.
    • Demonstrated strong and effective analytical and communication skills; written, oral and interpersonal.
    • Demonstrated negotiation and/or facilitation ability.
    • Ability to multi-task, work independently and employ effective time management skills.
    • Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to market and sell.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing improvement program and processes.
